Goodbyes are never easy especially when it feels like you are leaving your home. Tumbira quickly became a second home for all of us and the connection we formed with the people and the forest will forever live in our hearts and minds.

 

Our learning extended beyond the focus of food systems, biodiversity and water. We learned to communicate without language, to trust intuition over convention, to contribute and reciprocate in the context of a community and to reconnect by disconnecting. We left Tumbira knowing that the experiences and lessons would live on in us and we will use them to touch the lives of those in our circles of influence.
